Hi!! Welcome to my 2011-2012 ceramics blog! I hope you enjoy all of my projects and posts that are currently on and going to be on in the future and the year progresses. i am rreally excited for my future projects and to improve in general on my handbuilding and throwing skills.

Pinch Pot

This is my pinch pot i crreated a few weeks ago. I enjoyed creating this project because i was able to use tools that i had never used before in order to create the texture that is so evident in this project. I used a needle tool along with a loop tool to create the effects on the sides. For the foot on the bottom, i created a loop and sliped and scored it in order for it to stay. Although there isnt a very evident contrast in color, I used dark and light blues to give it a difference. I really enjoyed this handbuilding project because i didn't have to rely on a wheel, and the different speeds.

Wire Sculpture

This is my wire sculpture. It was a very long process in order to achieve what i did. Originally i wanted to create Dumbo (an elephant) or something along those lines, but it didnt quite work out. I used a bluish purple to give it an authentic octopus feel. It was a sold color with a slash of white in the eyes, but i feel i achieved unity. It was a handbuilt project, and i enjoyed creating something out of house hold materials.
